Award in Mathematics for Numeracy Teaching (Level 3)

The course is a level 3 self paced course. During the course you will be assigned a tutor to guide and support you through.

There are three units, each worth 6 credits.

1. Using mathematics: academic subjects
2. Using mathematics: personal and public life
3. Using mathematics: professional and vocational contexts

For each area, the learner will:

• Be able to interpret mathematical situations
• Be able to process mathematical problems
• Be able to analyse mathematical findings
• Be able to use mathematical communications

Course Structure:

Materials are provided explaining the mathematical formulas and equations and how these are used. These will then be applied to the assignments under each unit.
