Anaphylaxis (severe allergic reactions) can kill without immediate first aid treatment. The UK is one of the top three countries in the world for the incidence of allergic reactions. An estimated 21 million adults suffer from at least one allergy. And 6-8% of children have a food allergy. So allergies are a common problem you will run into. This Anaphylaxis Training course will teach you how to and when to use an auto injector for the treatment of severe allergic reactions.
The course will teach you the required knowledge, understanding and skills to manage an anaphylactic reaction in any setting. It is suitable for staff working in care homes, GP, or health centers, schools, nurseries, or any setting where you might be called upon to help a person having an anaphylactic reaction.
It will also give you the ability to safely manage anaphylaxis through the use of pre-filled auto injectors such as the Epipen, Jext Emerade, or through the use of Patient Group Directives.
