Nappy rash is a frequent concern for parents and carers. In the UK, it is estimated to affect up to 25% of nappy-wearing babies at any time, with the highest prevalence in those aged 9-12 months. Whilst in most cases it is easily treated and will settle down within 3 days, as a child health professional you can help parents implement simple steps to prevent this distressing condition arising in the first place.
