This 12-section eLearning course from Skills for Health will train NHS, Health and Social Care staff on best practice when dealing with the ongoing pandemic and teach key findings from the course of the last 18 months to improve health, safety and welfare of both staff and patients. The skills learned will include basic awareness about Covid-19 (Coronavirus), how it is transmitted, the severity and symptoms experienced by patients, best practice for infection prevention and control, respiratory education, how to manage and utilise Personal Protective Equipment (PPE and much more).
As the Sector Skills Council for Health, we believe in supporting the sector in any way we can, as such this course has two options available, either a FREE version or a certificated version for a small charge.
This course is certificated by Skills for Health. A certification is earned on successful completion of the course valid for up to 1 year.
First launched in March 2020 as a rapid response to the Covid-19 outbreak, the Skills for Health eLearning course has been continually developed to increase both the number of modules and learning involved to help prepare new, existing, and redeployed staff to deal with and continue to manage Covid-19 cases.
