Challenging behaviour training courses are suitable for those working with adults, young people or children that show signs of aggressive, self-harming or destructive behaviour in their workplace.
These courses are suitable for health and social care services including care and nursing homes, learning disabilities, domiciliary care agencies, drugs & alcohol support, dementia and mental health services. On completion of these courses you will feel more confident in dealing with difficult situations, minimising risks and building positive relationships.
Challenging behaviour courses will usually cover communication techniques, de-escalation, understanding behaviour, stress factors and personal safety.
The Challenging Behaviour Foundation is an excellent resource providing information for professionals, individuals and families. NHS Protect has published a library of free resources such as templates, videos and assessment forms for those working or managing in an NHS setting to help minimise the risks whilst working with patients.
