Health and social care employees encounter individuals from a wide range of backgrounds throughout the course of their work. As such, equality, diversity and human rights training is a vital part of preparing staff for their roles. This includes preventing harassment, working as part of a diverse team, and providing assistance to those with complex needs.
The scope of equality, diversity and human rights training is broad, encouraging the promotion of equal opportunities, and the preservation of a conflict-free working environment. This extends to to identifying the types and impact of discrimination, and the personal prejudices which may influence an individual’s behaviour.
We also offer equality, diversity and human rights elearning materials which detail the legislation surrounding these issues. Our courses further aim to promote awareness of the specific needs of individuals from various backgrounds, and the importance of treating patients, clients, and colleagues with sensitivity and respect. These Equality, Diversity & Human Rights courses can contribute towards the completion of Care Certificate Standard 4.
