The Apprenticeship in health and social care offers apprentices a work-based learning experience, whilst they study for nationally recognised qualifications. Learners can formalise their knowledge and gain new skills, whilst training and earning a salary.
We have a variety of models of delivery which include e-portfolio and e-learning, monthly meetings/coaching and assessments in the workplace or monthly training to groups leading to assessment in the workplace to complete the programme.
A career in health and social care can be both challenging and rewarding. It involves working in one of the caring professions for adults, possibly in their own home, supported housing, in a nursing or residential home. It may involve caring for the elderly and supporting them in their daily lives.
This is a level 5 Higher Apprenticeship framework for those working as Adults’ Residential Managers, Adults’ Managers and Adults' Advanced Practitioners in Adult Social Care or as a Manager of Specialist Adult Social Care Services or Business Development Manager in adult social care only.
The Health and Social Care framework covers care workers, personal assistants, domiciliary care workers community, support and outreach workers, supervisors, senior care workers in adult social care and for example healthcare assistants or clinical support workers in the health sector.
The Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care qualification assesses a learner’s competence within a work situation. This qualification is suitable for all individuals working in Health Care, Residential Care, Supported Living or Day Centres who work under supervision.
The Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care qualiﬁcation develops the knowledge and skills needed when working in a senior role with adults in health and social care environments. It is aimed at those who may often be working without direct supervision or own their own.
