Health Education England e-Learning for Healthcare works in partnership with the NHS and professional bodies to support patient care by providing high quality e-learning free of charge for the training of the health and social care workforce. All content is nationally quality-assured and available to all relevant users in health and social care 24/7, thus facilitating multi-disciplinary training and teamwork across all sectors. The online training sessions enhance traditional learning, support existing teaching methods and provide a valuable reference point. They are designed and built to be engaging and interactive, with quality images, video, audio and animation to help users learn and retain knowledge. Content is presented using various templates such as 'real-life' scenarios, case studies and 'knowledge bites'.

Health Education England e-Learning for Healthcare is currently developing and delivering more than 100 e-learning programmes comprising more than 10,000 e-learning sessions. The sessions are developed and delivered in partnership with the professional bodies such as the Royal Colleges and associations, Department of Health policy teams and other arms length bodies e.g. NHS England and Public Health England.
