Our Team

Judith McKeon

Principal

Judith founded MKLC in 1988. She has a BA in Russian and German, a MA in History and a MBA in Marketing. Judith gained her PhD in studying the migration of older people, especially those from Eastern Europe to the UK, and has presented conference papers on this topic on an international basis. She is a fully qualified languages teacher, teacher trainer, assessor and verifier, and specialises in the design of courses for specific markets

Emma Burrows

Marketing Officer

Emma has a MSc in Business Management and a LLB (Hons) Law degree from the University of East Anglia. Emma has obtained her PTLLS and Assessor Award qualifications, a Diploma in Online Marketing and passed a WordPress web design course. She has an interest in the events and wedding industry and has qualified as an international events and wedding professional.

Clare Elliott

Trainer and Assessor

Clare has a PGCE in Post Compulsory Education and a BA (Hons) in Business. She has also obtained her CELTA, A1 Assessor Award and Internal Quality of Assurance qualification. Clare has been employed and consulting in teaching and training roles in both education and industry for over ten years. She is a tutor on MKLC's teacher trainer courses as well as teaching ESOL in the local community. Clare is also an experienced IT Trainer and in the future she plans to achieve her Master in Education.

Maxine Ashman

Trainer and Assessor

Maxine is a seasoned customer service professional with over 15 years of experience. In recent years she has added to her portfolio by gaining NVQ assessor and IV qualifications. She has provided ‘on the job’ coaching, training and people development for over 10 years and has spent the past 3 years providing Assessing for NVQ candidates. Maxine is responsible for the induction and completion of NVQ programmes and also provides IV requirements to NVQ programmes.
